Developing a budget for a project means involvement early in the process and paying attention to every detail and cost. D&G General Contracting Co. has the experience to develop an accurate budget which saves money for the customer.

Saving money for the customer includes several key steps which D&G General Contracting Co. has perfected over the past decade. They are:

• Having the contractor involved during the conceptual design phase
• Performing value engineering before the construction documents are finished
• Asking for and receiving multiple bids from subcontractors
• Minimizing any change orders during construction
• Creating designs which maximizes materials and techniques which are cost effective

To ensure we have the most accurate pricing, we’ve invested in powerful estimating software and tools, programs like XXXX which are able to read the details of plans and calculate the budget using real and current pricing data.

Of course, we do not rely only on machines or technology. Each year, we design, price and build dozens of construction projects. We use our real-world information based on trends and past projects to verify all estimates and prices before giving them to the customers.

When the final price is developed, we ensure the sub-contractors we use will perform and honor the price they delivered. We perform an extensive pre-submittal background check on all sub-contractors and ask for a minimum of three bids from those companies. We’ll choose the firm that provides the best value.

During construction, we’ve trained our project managers to keep a keen eye on all costs and if they spot any issues, we’ll address them quickly in our weekly staff meeting where all of D&G’s employees come together to find solutions as a team.

At the end of a project, D&G General Contracting Co. will deliver a building that honors the budget and price we promised.
